This is a dark roast...but not too dark. Our most popular blend is roasted just to second crack (the second time the bean pops and expands in the roaster) indicating a dark roast. We stop the roast very quickly so the smooth, dark and sweet character makes it into the cup.
Knowing how to roast a coffee dark to enhance flavour is a rare skill among coffee roasters.
